FO

Take a strand of black yarn about 30cm long, and your yarn needle. Go up through the bottom of the head and out through where you'd like one of the eyes to be, go back in two rows down, continue to go over the eye until there are 4 layers of yarn. Now go over to the other eye 2 STS over and repeat the process. Go back out through the bottom of the head and tie the two ends of yarn together in a knot and trim the excess. These will be hidden inside the body when the pieces are sewn together.

Joining

Take the body and the two single sections of scarf. Weave in one end of the section, and use the other to sew onto the body. Sew one of the smaller edges onto the neck of the body, and sew an X onto the main part of the scarf to hold it down. Do this for both single pieces, putting the green one slightly behind the red one.

Taking the multi-coloured scarf piece, there should be two ends on each section (one from starting and one from ending the section) weave in the shorter end for each section. Sew the two ends together and put the scarf over the neck of the body, ends hanging down the body. Take the scarf and match it up so that a green section is over-lapping the red single and that a red section is over-lapping the green single. Take one of the strands and attach along the bottom of the section of the section, then stitch and X through the centre of the section to secure it. Do this for each section, tie two strands together on the inside of the body to secure them.

Take the head and pin it to the body, sew the head to the body using the STS as a guide for sewing. When about halfway around, stuff the rest of the body, then continue around.

Hold the carrot when you want it to sit, and sew it on in the same way you attached the head.

Hide all tails by knotting them and pulling the tail through the body, pulling it tight and cutting it close to the work.
